- Also, thanks for a fantastic tournament. Despite the bad weather, we enjoyed the stay. The facilities, refs, staff and hotels were top notch. We will be back next year. - Ian
- We all arrived safely home and just getting use to the time change. Once again thank you so much for everything you, Judy and the host family's done for us and the boys it made it a wonderful trip. It would be great to bring another team over next year and possibly for me to come in the summer of next year to coach, I would even like to bring my family and have a vacation. Hope tryouts went well you have developed a wonderful club with great people which I am sure will only continue to grow. - As an out of state team I can't thank you enough for working as hard as you did to make this tournament happen! With all of the inclement weather even other major tournaments in your area shut their doors. Your suprerior facilities and dedication to providing a worthwhile experience for the players stands apart from other tournaments. I avoid returning to tournaments year after year to try and vary the competition for the team, but I can confidently tell you that we will return to Grove United next year and will tell our club and neighbors about our experience. – Adam K
- I just would like to say how impressed I was with the amount of communication during this tournament. From the follow-up emails to questions to the delays, restart of games, and Twitter updates, what you have accomplished is unlike any tournament. You as well as Henry were wonderful in all my dealings. The quick email responses were awesome. The refs for our U11 games were very fair, and this tournament was a truly refreshing experience! - First off thank you very much for the awesome communication throughout our battle with Mother Nature. It was really great and exemplary of how a tourney should handle the situation. Also, we are listed as the U11 girls Champion in the World Cup division but we are from St. Louis so don't have any way of picking up the trophy. Is there an option to have it shipped? Thanks again for a really fun and well organized tourney. We shall spread the word about the tourney throughout our St. Louis team connections. - Keith

- I can’t thank you enough for the tremendous job you and your team did to keep this tournament going under such chaotic circumstances. I’ve been involved in many tournaments over the years and I’ve never seen one so well handled both from an organizational standpoint as well as maintaining excellent communication throughout the ordeal. You have set the standard for which all tournament organizers should strive for when taking on such a big event. In addition to all of your hard work, the fact that you are even willing to provide some credits and refunds for circumstances that were totally out of your control is going well above and beyond the call of duty. Just to let you know, in spite of the crazy weather and chaotic schedule, our team had a great time at this tournament and I will make sure to let our club know that we should definitely continue to participate in this tournament again in the future. Thanks again for all of your hard work and your excellent response to such a challenging situation. It was truly quite impressive. – Jim S
- I want to commend you and all the volunteers who put together the tournament it was well organized and successful even with the rain. Schaumberg is a nice city with lots of restaurants and hotels and close proximity to Chicago. The Turf fields are great. We really appreciate the Hyatt Summerfield who were quite accommodating to us about booking the extra day and cancelling at the last minute if we did not need it. Not withstanding the weather, one quick acting referee who gave my son the red and would not reverse it even after an apology ( Thanks for your help ), no championship game , I would highly recommend the tournament to our association. Also your refund and credit to teams is very generous , great customer service and unnecessary. – Harvey F
- I just want to tell you how impressed I was with the rescheduling of the tournament due to the weather. Wow! To pull together that many games in such a short time was nothing short of incredible! Our team had a great experience at the tournament. We ended up being co-champions at the U9 level which was great because we were unable to play the championship game and both teams had two wins and we tied each other. Needless to say, our boys were beyond thrilled! The trophies that you handed out were great too! I appreciate all the work you and your team did to keep the tournament rolling during such bad weather! – Anne L

- I just wanted to extend a thanks to you and Henry for the time you took last evening to explain the situation and follow-up in a timely manner. I know it is many times a thankless job for all the hard work you and the rest of the group put in to pull off such a immense event and there are always going to be issues and questions. This was the first year my team has come to the Grove United Tournament and I was impressed with the quality of the entire weekend. - ... the tournament this weekend seemed to run so beautifully. Great facility - parking really not an issue, great concessions, never a shortage of bathrooms - the whole event seemed very well run. So please pass along my thanks to the Board/committee as I can well appreciate the herculean efforts that go in to running such a massive event.
- Now that I have a few moments to take a breather, I would like to share with you and your tournament staff what a great experience I had at the Grove Shootout with my three boys teams. The atmosphere was wonderful. This was made possible by the volunteers who really made us feel both welcomed and important. I've been to enough tournaments to distinguish between sincerity and simply accommodating, and your folks were definitely sincere in ensuring that our experience was top-notch. -Mark
- You can expect me to bring my teams back and to alert the rest of the Lindenhurst Area Soccer Club that an excellent tournament is not too far away. As you know, I have always enjoyed our competitive rivalry on the field, but there's no better feeling than having all my parents commend me on my choice of tournaments and mingling with the Grove parents and sharing something special.
