Coaches and Trainers Garry Garcia - Director of Coaching Licenses held: National USSF "D" Coaching License Personal Information: Garry Garcia started his soccer career at the age of 6 years old. In high school, Garry was a 4 year Varsity Player for Palatine High School. He was nominated as MVP his senior year. Garry was also selected as All-Area, All-Sectional, and All-Midwest. He was selected as the All-Area Team Captain by the Daily Herald and was ranked as one of the top three players in Illinois his senior year. Experience: GUSA, 2005 - Present Long Grove Soccer, 2004 Rolling Meadows Soccer Club, 2004 Palatine Celtics SC, 1994-2004 Kits Sports Center, 1999 Lake Zurich High School, 1996  Faris Youhanna - Technical Director of Player Development Licenses held: National USSF "C" Coaching License Personal Information: Faris Youhanna started playing soccer at the age of 6. He attended Niles North High School, while at Niles North Faris was selected to the IHSSCA All-State Soccer Team, as well as the US National Team. After high school, Faris continued his playing career at National Lewis University where in 1988 he received College Player-of-the-Year honors. Faris went on to play for over 15 years with various Chicagoland semi-pro clubs. In 2003 Faris received his Coaching Diploma from the US Soccer Federation. In 2007 Faris received the nomination from Liberty Mutual for The Responsible Coach of the Year. He is currently player/coach for the Chicago Thunder Men’s Team. Bert attended Fremd High School where he continued his soccer career. Upon graduating, Bert went on to play for 2 additional years at Harper College. He continues to play today for a Men’s Team at Soccer City. Experience: GUSA, 2004 - Present  Henry Goldenstein - Coach & Trainer Licenses held: National USSF "E" Coaching License Personal Information: Henry Goldenstein played soccer at Niles East High School. After graduating college, Henry began coaching youth soccer. During the last decade, Henry’s teams have won countless prestigious tournaments and awards. In 2008, Henry’s U12 Girls went on to become the number 1 ranked team in Illinois Experience: GUSA, 2006 - Present Buffalo Grove, 2004-2006  Dave Hart - Coach & Trainer Licenses held: National USSF "B" Coaching License Personal Information: Dave Hart has been involved in youth athletics for over 2 decades. During his coaching career, Dave’s teams have won many awards and titles. As a member of the Palatine High School Coaching Staff, Dave’s team won 3 State Championships. For 7 years, Dave served as the assistant coach for the Illinois High School Prairie State Olympic Team, and 5 years as the head coach for the Illinois Open Women’s Prairie State Olympic Team. Dave is the founder and director of both the Final Touch Soccer Camp and the Hoops n’ Headers Sports Camp. Experience: GUSA, 2004 - Present Buffalo Grove, 2001-2004 Long Grove, 2004-22005 Palatine High School, 1987-2004 Grayslake High School, 2004-2007 Palatine Celtic SC, 1993-2001 Hoffman United SC, 1989-1993    Chris Jamal - Coach & Trainer Licenses held: National USSF "D" Coaching License Personal Information: Chris Jamal has been playing soccer since the age of 6. During his high school career, Chris was 2-time All-State, won State in 1994 and placed 3rd in State in 1995. Chris went on to play soccer at the University of Illinois-Chicago where he was 2-time All-Conference player in both the 1999 and 2000 Seasons. Chris also received 2000 Conference Tournament MVP Honors. Experience: GUSA, 2004 - Present Cosmos Soccer Club, 2003-2006 Schwaben Soccer Club, 2003-2004 Lemont Raiders Soccer Club, 2003-2004 Palatine High School/Palatine Celtic SC, 1999-2003    Fabian Lopez - Coach & Trainer Licenses held: National USSF "E" Coaching License Personal Information: Fabian Lopez started playing soccer at the age of 8. He went on to play for 2 years at Steinmetz Academic Centre High School. After high school, Fabian played 1 year at Harper College. Experience: GUSA, 2007 - Present  Dick Smurlo - Coach & Trainer Licenses held: National USSF "D" Coaching License Personal Information: Dick Smurlo is a former member of the US Naval Air Reserve and a graduate of the University of Illinois-Chicago. Dick has coached youth soccer for over 20 years and has received numerous awards. Among these awards are: The Fred Bornstein Memorial Coaches Award, Barrington Classic – Peak Performer Award for Sportsmanship, the IWSL Sportsmanship Award, and the list continues…… Experience: GUSA, 2006 - Present
